Epoxy flooring is more than just a durable surface solution—it’s a transformative upgrade for homes and businesses in Clarkson. As one of the most robust and versatile floor coatings available, epoxy offers a wide range of benefits that cater to various needs. Whether you’re looking to enhance your garage, basement, or commercial space, epoxy and polyaspartic coatings are designed to last and perform under the toughest conditions.
What We Do:
What is Epoxy Flooring?
Epoxy is a two-part system that combines a resin and a hardener, creating a chemically bonded surface that adheres to concrete. The result is a seamless, protective barrier that resists moisture, stains, and chemicals while delivering a sleek, polished appearance. Polyaspartic coatings, often used as top layers, further enhance the floor’s durability, providing UV protection and increased resistance to abrasions.
Residential Uses of Epoxy Flooring
In Clarkson homes, epoxy floor coatings are a go-to option for several spaces, including but not at all limited to:
- Garages: Epoxy stands up to oil spills, tire marks, and vehicle traffic, all while giving your garage a clean, finished look. Garage floors are one of our favorite things to do!
- Basements: Moisture resistance is crucial for basements, and epoxy floors offer a protective barrier against dampness.
- Kitchens and Bathrooms: With epoxy’s non-slip surface and ease of cleaning, it’s a great choice for high-traffic, moisture-prone areas like kitchens and bathrooms.
- Outdoor Patios and Walkways: The UV-resistant properties of epoxy with polyaspartic top coats make them ideal for outdoor areas that need protection from the sun’s harsh rays.

Why Should I Avoid 1-Day Installations?
While some companies may offer 1-day epoxy floor installations, this rushed process often leads to long-term issues. In these systems, quick-curing polyureas (or polyaspartics) are used as both the primer coat and single clear top. It’s their use as primers that are the problem. These quick-curing coatings cure quicker still in the presence of concrete moisture. So quick that they fail to deeply penetrate the concrete substrate. The thin, weakly penetrating polyurea-polyaspartic primer coat, when exposed to moisture vapor transmission and hydrostatic pressures from below, have a propensity to delaminate (peel). In Clarkson, where moisture and weather fluctuations can be a concern, it’s especially important to avoid short-term solutions.
Our 2-day installation process ensures a thorough, lasting bond between the slow-curing, 100%-solids, moisture-mitigating epoxy primer (and we allow one full day for it to cure) and the concrete substrate. This primer acts as thick, strongly bonding moisture vapor barrier. This step is essential for long-term adhesion even under high hydrostatic pressure. We also top our coating systems with two (not one) 100%-solids polyaspartic clear coats…to produce the thickest, most durable floor coating system.
